It seems I write some sort of notice (that ends up being accurate to varying degrees) about this blog every couple of months, but here's yet another. Things have been slow around here lately and, in case anyone is interested, I want to let people know that such will be the case at least for the next month or so.
The wedding, organizing against the Minutemen, and my thesis, among other things, are really drawing me away from spending much time, let alone quality time, here. While I could be wrong and end up being able to post often, I imagine that will not be the case.
I do hope to rant about this farcical spectacle referred to as the "disengagement" at some point soon. In the meantime, might I recommend Electronic Intifada and Democracy Now! for updates, as well as the best article I've read about the situation so far, The Shame of It All, by Jennifer Loewenstein.
So, don't leave for good, things will still be happening here, but at a slower pace for the time being. Why not leave some comments and make things interesting? What do you think about the "disengagement," or the Minutemen, or anything else you want to talk about?
It is a spectacle. There's too many angles that are being worked... and the media is too busy around it. I feel edgy about me missing something. I certainly feel something sinister beneath it all.
But I don't know.. I did give my one angle on my blog... I might expand later.
Peace,
M.

What's there to be confused about? A Prime Minister is committing political suicide to satisfy world opinion.
Not one Palestinian leader has gone so far as to suggest that sending 16-year-olds to blow up shopping malls and fast food restaurants is wrong. What the hell?

This conflict isn't all about you and your internal politics. What you think of your prime minister, some people just wish he was dead.
And yes... not only palestinian, but Muslim leaders worldwide have condemned the killing of innocent civilians. Read a little bit more instead of generalising so you can spread propaganda.
Peace,
M.

Jennifer Loewenstein is a moronic tool with little to no clue about what she is saying there.
It is almost not worth commenting on, but the good news is that there is as much substance in my remarks as in her essay.
Of course she required 1000 words to say very little.

Thanks for turning me on to the Jennifer Loewenstein article. that was fucking incredible. I just emailed it out to a few people. I also want to let you know...you turn ME on...and I think you're too hot to get married...unless it's to me.
